Bro. Dennis Gray was a pious and very humble Christian man. In his early twenties he moved to Dallas and united with Mission Chapel, which is now North Park, where he labored faithfully for Christ in the church and community. He was always ready to help anyone in need.
He served as a Steward and Trustee for North Park CME for over 50 years, and received many honors and awards from the church, the commnunity, and the city for unselfish and dedicated service. He was a member of North Park CME for over 60 years.
This award was established in 1981 and presented posthumously to his widow, Mrs. Lorena Gray, on May 3rd, 1981.
